Time flows by... [Oct. 24th, 2010|10:58 pm]
sarmatianknight
Seems like I should start every single post with an excuse because I was not around much.

I had reasons and I can explain myself!

I changed my job within the company (some of you know this already). I thought to change because I expected an easygoing, relaxing job in the human resources department. Really. That was my first intention to change – same paycheck, less work. Good gracious I was so WRONG. But the work is interesting to no end. I always wanted to become a lawyer but never had the chance to study on a university (another story). And finally I have a job that comes pretty close to that, dealing with all the legal aspects of contracts, different laws and stuff. I just love paragraphs and books.

And then I spent some unexpected time in Italy.

After.. how long? I do not even know and I will not go and count the days. No. After a time that feels like eternity I met someone. Gorgeous girl from Milano and I went to visit her there. Seems that I am still into long distance relationships *laughs*

And then I went to watch “The Social Network” finally.
What do I think now? Me, who does not even have a facebook account. I assume I am more than happy that I do not own one and I will never ever going to change that.

I still ponder to finally change my livejournal account or to make a new one. We talked about this in the past already and I still think I am losing the “knight” more and more. You know the feeling when you just cannot connect to something anymore? You did not change (well, we all do slightly of course) but the time and the world around you has changed. I don't know. Probably I am not ready to do the final step.

Take care and see you around,
Your Knight.

Hi stranger. ;)

Glad to hear things are well for you despite the load of work; I'm happy you at least are interested in your new position! Italy. *sigh* One day.

I understand the name change thing - although I've been sasha_b in some way shape or form for a million years, so I don't know what I'd do or change it to. Take your time and think about it.

*hugs*

I think the decision is made. Name change. Soon.

And I have no doubts that you will make it to Italy. Flights are not expensive anymore and life in Italy is pretty cheap.

Your Knight.

Glad to see you're still with us! : )

Congrats on the "new" job, sometimes we need to change things up a little bit. And yes, from what I've heard HR isn't an easy department to work in. I'm happy that you seem to be enjoying your new position though!

I know what you mean about changing LJ names. I've thought about it myself. Names can be a powerful thing! You may not be quite ready to let go of it just yet. I think when you're ready to do it, you'll know it.

Well, I am assume I am done with thinking about the name change. I am tired of that knight thing. Although I still write knights in fictions and roleplays it is not what is "me". If you get my point.

I hope you are doing well and live is good for you?

Your Knight.

I absolutely understand what you're saying. Looking forward to hearing what your new LJ name will be!

And I second Cat...I need to catch up on that RP. *hangs head in shame*

Hope that Amadeus is doing well, I'm sure that he's gotten much bigger! Well...as big as a pug can get. LOL.

Will we perhaps see photos from Italy? ;)

I can only agree with you....time flows by....

I am so glad that you find the new position in HR very interesting! Can you still study part time at university to get the proper education to become a lawyer? Most schools have after hour programs and online programs to help those working full time to earn their degrees.

I want to hear all about Italy! And I am very happy for you in meeting someone special! Although now I must share you with another *laughs* Damn. ;)

Facebook is annoying to no end, but I use it to network with potential clients - and publishers, etc for my work. So it has it's uses. But I still MUCH prefer the format of Live Journal and always will.

How is Amadeus??

I am so glad to still be writing with you, sweetheart, as I adore the interaction. But I can fully understand the feeling of wanting to change from 'knight' online. I haven't thought of you in that way in years to be honest *laughs* I think you should change it to Charlie *gg* Or some combination of that name that you relate to so well. I will gladly pay for a name change for you as a Christmas/belated birthday gift.

I hope to catch you on Yahell soon....and I will go read your latest post in our RP today! I am terribly behind online *laughs* but I am back at least.

Take care, sweet pea! << CHANGE YOUR LJ NAME TO SWEET_PEA!!!!!!!!!!!!! *laughs*

Of course I could study part time but do I want that? My free time is most holy for me and do I want to spent so much time with learning and studying again, knowing I will never ever work in that job? I will do a pretty detailled course in Jannuary 2011 about law. And I would love to finally do that Hungarian language course I wanted to visit for years now. We will see. In the end I will be too lazy anyways.

As long as facebook has it uses for you, dear. Me, who would just use in on a private basis.. well, I do not like it. Period. (while I am a lover of the old Oxford English I just realise that the American "period" sounds better than the English "full stop" in this case *laughs*).
I found it quite interesting how they managed to make a movie about persons who exist and still live without risking million dollar claims. And funny thing, I really felt with these two Winklevoss twins - for wahtever reason. They are rich anyway - with or without facebook.

You know, chaning that name and being done with "the knight" has nothing to do with how I see things, how I feel, what I say and, last but not least, if I still write Lancelot in RP or not. It is just... not me. I have a name. I have a registered new LJ. And I am more than happy that you will help me with the layout! Thank you, sweetheart - while I had no birthday gift for you. Well, I stripped. Does that count? *winks*

sweet_pea - I checked that... a lot of sweet_peas are registered. Pity *g*

Take care,
Your Knight.

I am glad you chose a new name! Damn, I was hoping for sweat_pea *laughs* And I quite agree that 'period' sounds more accurate than 'full stop'. I never have cared for that British term *laughs*

Let me know what you'd like for a new layout and I will happily make it for you! And you did give me the best birthday present with your stripping! *laughs* It counts!

I should be working....*grumbles*

*hugs*

Oh, hello there ^^ It is good to see you are still around *smiles* I am glad to see you are doing well and that the 'new' job is so interesting. I might finally be in for a change at work, too, since my favourite senior doctor who's going to be assistant medical director soon wants me to be his PA *g* Needless to say, I immediately agreed to manage him as well - and to get a nice pay raise for it.

Italy always has some surprises up its sleeve *laughs* Glad to read about 'your' surprise from Bella Italia ^^

Give Amadeus a pet from me...stammi bene e tanti saluti ;)

Hi back -

I thought you chanced already. Hm, for whatever reason - I was sure you told me once that you will chance and leave with one of these doctors. Whatever, good luck for that!

I did not even met my surprise in Italy *laughs* who cares? The world is small anyways.

I did and he loved it *winks*

Take care, sweetie.

Your Knight.

Oh, honey, do not even get me started on the looooooooooooooong sad story that is my career and all the things that went very wrong with it in the past 2 years *sigh* Lots of things that were promised, planned out etc etc. (partly even to the stage of looking for a house in a new city) and then went out of the window in the very last moment. Just this time, others are pulling at the same string I am and said doctor has actually made me becoming his PA a condition to stay at the hospital at all *laughs* Quite a compliment for me - because he is the best we have :)

*grins* But the 'surprise' IS from Italy - that is all that counts *winks* And I am happy when Amadeus is happy...or something like that *laughs*

Thank you, dear - and likewise *hugs*
